Anvil is building a new kind of manufacturing company: one where software and a tightly integrated production floor work together as a single system. Today, making precision parts is still slowed down by fragmented tools, manual review, opaque quoting, disconnected machines, and long feedback loops. We’re closing that gap by building the software, automation, and factory infrastructure needed to move from design intent to production with dramatically less friction. We’re looking for founding engineers excited to work at the edge of software and the physical world, build from first principles, and help create the operating system for modern manufacturing.
Build the geometric intelligence that turns designs into machining instructions. You’ll work on the core geometry systems behind automated CAM, manufacturability analysis, design feedback, feature understanding, and tolerance reasoning.
Build learning systems that help turn part geometry and production data into better manufacturing decisions. You’ll work on models that reason about how parts should be made, predict cost and risk, and improve as the factory produces more real-world data.
Build the software nervous system for an automated factory. You’ll create the product, backend infrastructure, and workflow systems that move jobs from customer intent through review, planning, production, inspection, and delivery. This role is for engineers who want to build across the full stack, model complex real-world operations, and turn a fragmented manufacturing process into a tightly coordinated software-driven system.
Build the moving parts of an autonomous factory. You’ll develop the perception, controls, and coordination systems that streamline production, handling the operational complexity of new parts and new workflows without slowing the factory down.
Build the quality systems that make the factory self-improving. You’ll use advanced inspection technology to measure parts, detect issues, verify outcomes, and feed structured production data back into the systems that plan and execute manufacturing.
